About SMC Logistics Ltd.
SMC Logistics Ltd was established in Dublin in 2002 to manage the worldwide distribution of spare parts and tools for the aftermarket sector of Business Area Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology. SMCL manages 23 warehouses across 13 countries. In 2016, turnover of SMC Logistics was €1.1 billion.
The Treasury and cash management function is a critical area for SMC Logistics and in Business Area SMRT. There are significant complexities for SMC Logistics due to the large volume of transactions, the value of both external and internal payments, and dismantle of the internal Factoring process from 31 December 2017. A dedicated Local Treasurer is required to perform specific Treasury activities in the entity, support other Finance team members in implementation of Treasury initiatives and also to support BA SMRT in roll out of policy across other entities.
